Our chronicle …
In 1863 …
A local farmer called Simon Scheinsteiger started to build up a small inn near the Tatzlwurm waterfalls.
Famous artists such as Ludwig Steub, Viktor von Scheffel and Wilhelm Leibl loved this place and were seen frequently at the Tatzlwurm.
In 1900
… our great-grandparents could finally buy the inn after decades of hard work. The following years were not easy but laid the centerstone to future devilment.
1948
In 1948 our grandparents took over the business. Thanks to their long distance vision we are proud to say that they installed the first central heating in upper Bavaria!
1974
At the age of 27 our fahter, Karl Kiesl started to run the business at the Tatzlwurm. Together with his wife Eva, they made converted the traditional restaurant into a modern hotel and resort. During all the restructuration and extensions, that were built, a high level of respect has always been paid to tradition an ecological awareness.
2002
1. part of the DragonSPA was opened.
2004
Our new restaurant, the Drachenstadl was ready to welcome our guests.
2005 – a highlight
Tatzlwurm opens a traditional hut at the „Rosenheimer Herbstfest“!
2007
The DrachenSPA was extended and new Junior suites were build.
2008
New swimming lake.
2010
Ökologie und Ressourcenschonung ist seit jeher Teil unserer Betriebsphilosophie. Das Dach des Stammhauses, unser ältestes am Tatzlwurm, wurde aus diesem Grunde vollbiologisch saniert. Auch die Zimmer im Stammhaus haben ein Runduumerneuerung bekommen und erstrahlen in neuem Glanz.
Der moderne Dämmwert des Stammhauses hilft den CO2-Ausstoß der Stammhaus-Heizanlage um 45 % zu senken! Wir freuen uns einen großen Schritt hin zu klimaneutraler Betriebsführung gemacht zu haben und werden diesen Weg konsequent weiter verfolgen.
